FONET CELEBRATES ITS 13TH BIRTHDAY

BELGRADE, February 7, 2007 (FoNet) - FoNet News Agency marks its 13th anniversary today.

The Independent News Agency FoNet, established on February 7 1994 as the first private news agency in Serbia, successfully survived the turbulent nineties when state-run media held a monopoly on journalism and the state exercised oppressive measures against free media.

Serbia’s oldest independent news agency has always been committed to authentic, professional and unbiased reporting.
