BROADCAST COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ELECTED

BELGRADE, May 28, 2005 – The Broadcast Council has elected its chairman at its constitutive session held on May 27, 2005. The Council elected Nenad Cekic as Chairman and Aleksandar Vasic as his Deputy. Statute and financial plan will be forwarded to the Parliament for confirmation. The republican Broadcast Council also adopted all internal regulations necessary for the legal functioning of the Agency. Members of the Council have determined the dynamics and order of the procedures in the process of preparing the Broadcast Development Draft Strategy, which is seen as a prerequisite for implementation of the process of license issuing envisaged by the Act.
