16 CANDLES ON RTV B92’S BIRTHADY CAKE

BELGRADE, May 17, 2005 – RTV B92 has celebrated its 16th birthday last night in Belgrade Hyatt Hotel. Many eminent guests from political, cultural and public life, as well as journalists and respectable business partners were present at the cocktail party organized in Ellington bar for the purpose. Author of the TV show “Znanje na poklon” and the oldest journalist in Serbia Zaharije Trnavcevic, received the award for life achievements from Radio Television B92, Radio Television of Serbia, daily Blic, ANEM, IJAS and Ministry of Agriculture. Speaking at the marking of B92’s 16th anniversary, Editor-in-Chief Veran Matic said that the station was scoring an average monthly growth in the nationwide audience share of 50% in 2004, adding that such trend had secured its firm fourth position at the list of the most popular stations. Matic expected that B92 would soon move to the third position, thus securing its long-term position at the market.
