JOURNALISTS TO TESTIFY

PODGORICA, May 16, 2005 – The lawsuit against Damir Mandic, charged for murder of Editor-in-Chief of Podgorica daily “Dan” Dusko Jovanovic, will be adjourned until Monday, May 16, when the statements of “D Review” journalists are expected. Andrijana Petrovic, Predrag Sabanovic and Vladimir Dragutinovic are expected to appear as witnesses before the Judge of the Criminal Board in the Podgorica Higher Court. The three journalists claimed to have seen Damir Mandic in the night club “Mania” on the night of the murder, May 27, 2004. The journalists of “D Review”, whose co-owner was Jovanovic, were on duty that night, making the reportage on the club. Co-partner of the night club “Mania” Leon Dresaj failed to appear two times before the court. Dresaj had earlier stated that he was accompanied by Mandic on the night of Jovanovic’s murder. The daily Dan however reported that Dresaj had failed to say in the investigation process that Mandic was not in the club at the time of the murder.
