“Dusan Bogavac” award presented to Pancic

Belgrade, 27.10.2010. (Dnevnik) - Teofil Pancic, columnist of Vreme weekly, was presented the award "Dusan Bogavac" for journalist ethics and courage, which is being given for 20th time by the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS).

Giving thanks for the award, Pancic emphasized that ethics was gained through upbringing and that he had never perceived himself as a courageous man but that he believed that it had been his duty to express his attitude as best as he can. This is something that should be a professional and basic duty of each of us, Pancic pointed out adding that he would like to live in a society and professional environment where ethics is self-understanding and courage not necessary, which unfortunately is not the case in Serbia.
