Started work in 1970. Within Public Informative Enterprise founded by Kraljevo Municipality Assembly comprises also TV Kraljevo. The company was privatized in November 2007, and changed its name to „Ibarske Novosti" A.D. The privatization was, however, canceled in early 2009, due to unfulfilled obligations of owners, and the company is awaiting a new buyer ever since. In the meantime, some 40 employees, mostly journalists and technicians, left the company, with a social program implemented by the state. Radio and TV newsrooms have been decimated, the staff is still waiting for their 13 unpaid salaries, which is significantly below the republic average - around 19.000 dinars. Now, "Ibarske Novosti" A.D. (including the newspaper of the same name), counts 39 members of staff.
By the beginning of 2009, the station used to broadcast 17 hours of program produced in two studios by 28 people. Today, there are only eight journalists and one technician working on the radio.
Informative editorial prepares news that are broadcast at each whole hour with two central informative programs at 12 o clock (noon) and at 7 p.m.
Radio Kraljevo signal covers territories of 12 municipalities of Central Serbia (Kraljevo, Cacak, Gornji Milanovac, Trstenik, Vrnjacka Banja, Krusevac, Brus, Aleksinac, Varvarin, Paracin, Cuprija, Jagodina).
In a fire that took the business building where TV Kraljevo was situated, in November 2000, two studios, a phonoteque portion and reporting equipment of this station were destroyed. The total damage this informative house had suffered was evaluated to over 250000 DM.
Since February 2001, after four-month break, the programs of Radio Kraljevo have been broadcast 24 hours a day.
Owing to good will of Electro-Serbia managing personnel, Radio Kraljevo was enabled usage of new working space. The most substantial assistance in equipping new studio of the oldest radio in Kraljevo was received from ANEM and IREX. The value of this equipment is 40,000 DM.
Assistance to Radio Kraljevo, beside the mentioned donors, was also provided by other international subjects and businessmen/citizens of Kraljevo.
One of he most popular radio stations is again in a position to be at its listeners' service 24 hours daily.
In 2007, TV Kraljevo received regional frequency on UHF 48 by the RBA, for the transmitter on Goc.
Today, TV Kraljevo counts only five journalists, three cameramen, two editors, two computer programmers and three program producers.
