Support for humanitarian projects and civil society initiatives
ANEM and its member stations supported several humanitarian projects and CSO initiatives during 2012 and 2013.
1. Support for the campaign "Equal Opportunities" for accessibility of public buildings for persons with impaired mobility. The campaign was implemented by Educational Center Leskovac, in partnership with Samariter Arbeiter Bund and the Centre "Living Upright" from Novi Sad. ANEM member stations supported the campaign in 2012 by broadcasting free of charge the campaign promotional video.
2. Support for the campaign of the National Alliance for Local Economic Development ( NALED) by free broadcasting of the video "A pregnant woman against the system" on ANEM member stations during 2012. This video was part of NALED's anti-bureaucratic campaign "Ask when," and refers to the complicated administrative procedures in applying for pregnancy and maternity leave.
3. Support for B92 Fund project "Battle for maternity wards," with a goal to provide all maternity wards in Serbian hospitals with equipment necessary for the survival and health of newborn babies. ANEM member stations supported the project by broadcast TV and radio public service announcements during the campaign in 2012.
4. ANEM participation in the "MLADGRAD" awards of 2012 and 2013 - MLADGRAD is a recognition that is on the occasion of August 12 - the International Youth Day - awarded by NGO Civic Initiatives for the fourth year in a row to local self-governments, organizations, informal groups, and individuals for their contribution to improving position of young people in the local communities. In support of Civic Initiatives and the action, ANEM has in 2012 and 2013 participated in the work of the jury and selection of award recipients.
5. Support for Fund B92 humanitarian project "Movement 65 +". The objective of the project is increased care for elderly citizens throughout the country, and it was initiated on October 1, 2013, the International Day of Older Persons. the project includes providing tele-assistance for the elderly, training and support programs for individual care providers, as well as providing food to the most vulnerable older persons in isolated areas. ANEM member stations supported this project by broadcasting radio and TV public service announcements during 2013.
